The Dallas Central Appraisal District has come out this week barring any in-person meetings for the foreseeable future.
Dallas Central Appraisal District Operations EFFECTIVE 3-16-2020 : Due to the recent spread of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak, the Dallas Central Appraisal District (DCAD) will not be able to provide face to face customer service between property owners and staff members but will instead encourage all individuals to conduct business remotely using the DCAD’s online systems (BPP Online Rendition Filing System and Exemption Application Filing System). It is important to note, that effectively, all DCAD business practices with the general public and property owners can be done remotely without having to visit our office.
During this health alert time, the DCAD would encourage the general public and all property owners to work remotely with DCAD staff. While the building will largely be closed to the public, from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Monday through Friday, individuals can speak to staff utilizing the phone numbers listed in the “Contact Us” section of this website. Emails will be responded to as time allows. We appreciate everyone’s concerns and patience regarding the worldwide health threat and have made this request not only for the DCAD staff members’ well-being, but for all the general public and property owners with whom the DCAD has contact.
