For the 40-year-old family-owned tax consultancy firm, KE Andrews hired BOKA Powell to design a next-generation headquarters office building. Before beginning design work on the 80,000 square foot headquarters on Ridge Road in Rockwall, Texas, BOKA Powell aided with the master planning and zoning modification process. The four-story Texas Modern structure stands on a steeply slope, thickly wooded site that overlooks Lake Ray Hubbard and drops 40 feet from the road to the site’s center. Each floor has a terrace with unobstructed views of the lake. A massive south-facing glass atrium lobby greets clients and visitors on Ridge Road. The ground level is a shared break room for the employees, partially embedded in the slope and spans around 20,000 square feet.
